Policing our Community Yesterday our Commander, Superintendent Chris Schilt and A/Inspector Steve Kendal made a surprise visit to St Josephs Primary School in Taree. The visit is part of our whole Police District Youth Engagement Strategy, and these visits are a part of building relationships with the Young People in our Community, relationships we hope will extend into their adulthood. Police in our District have been asked to ‘adopt’ a school and where time allows, engage with the schools and their students. These engagements are in addition to our normal response in schools by our School Liaison Officer and Youth Liaison Officer.
